About
Little Sprouts
Privately owned. Personally run. Built for your child since 2015.
OUR STORY
Born from a Passion for Every Child
Little Sprouts Learning Center was founded by Despina (Debbie) Papadeas, a Temple University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, focused on Developmental Psychology. After graduation, Debbie worked at a corporate childcare center before working as a paraprofessional supporting a child with special needs.
It was her time at a large corporate childcare center that lit the spark. She had children who needed more — more time, more flexibility, more attention. The corporate curriculum wouldn’t allow it.
That wasn’t good enough for her. So she built something better.
In November 2015, Debbie opened Little Sprouts Learning Center with 3 staff members and a handful of children. Her husband Chris joined full time in 2019, and together they’ve grown Little Sprouts into 3 thriving locations across Montgomery County.
I wanted to create a place for children to grow that was safe, caring, and loving — where staff had the freedom to use their creativity to teach. I wanted every enrolling family to feel that they were part of our family.

OUR PURPOSE
Mission, Vision & Philosophy
🎯 Our Mission
Little Sprouts Learning Center is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children learn, explore, and grow. Through developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supportive relationships, and strong partnerships with families, we help children build confidence, independence, and the foundational skills for lifelong success.
🌱 Our Vision
We envision Little Sprouts Learning Center as a trusted partner for every family we serve. A place where children feel safe, celebrated, and inspired every day. Our goal is to build a community where little learners develop a lifelong love of learning and grow into confident, curious, and kind individuals ready for the world ahead.
📖 Our Philosophy
We believe early childhood is a critical time for learning, discovery, and development. Our program encourages growth in social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through play-based learning and meaningful experiences — promoting creativity, curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence while supporting each child’s natural desire to learn.
How we Operate
Our Core Values
❤️ Safety First
The safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. We maintain attentive supervision, clear procedures, and a secure environment where children can learn and grow with confidence.
🤝 Nurturing Relationships
We foster a warm, respectful atmosphere where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged every day. Strong relationships are the foundation of early childhood development.
🎨 Learning Through Exploration
We provide hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and a genuine love of learning through play and meaningful experiences.
👨👩👧 Partnership with Families
Families are a child’s first and most important teachers. We work closely with parents and guardians through open communication and collaboration to support each child’s success.
🌱 Growth & Development
Every child develops at their own pace. We focus on building confidence, independence, and social-emotional skills while helping children reach important developmental milestones.
Our Team
Experienced Leadership. Passionate Teachers.
At Little Sprouts, our classrooms are guided by a strong leadership team with years of childcare experience. Many of our teachers are beginning their careers in early childhood education, bringing energy, patience, and genuine enthusiasm into the classroom every day.
What makes our program exceptional is that they are never on their own.
Our directors and leadership team provide daily mentorship, training, and oversight to ensure every classroom meets the high standards our families expect. Our teachers complete 30 hours of professional development per year — more than double Pennsylvania’s requirement of 12 hours.
